Connect your coding CLI through AI Accounts Pool

Keep your coding CLI connected when one provider account reaches its limit.

In desktop 0.4.42, AI Accounts Pool replaces Harness and Work together. Use it when your coding CLI needs another account after a limit. Choose Claude or Codex and a pool location, then copy the CLI setup. All three locations require paid Termiyo membership. Switching keeps the provider and model; quotas are not combined. A remote pool stays available, but a sleeping laptop still stops its local CLI.

The written steps explain AI Accounts Pool in desktop 0.4.42. The recording below shows the earlier terminal prompt and is historical, not a demonstration of the new pool controls.

Historical recording of the retired Harness terminal prompt, made against a test server with a scripted Claude Code stand-in. No real account or model was used. Follow the written migration steps below for AI Accounts Pool; this recording does not show its interface.

Steps

  1. Open AI Accounts Pool

Open “AI Accounts Pool” from the AI section or tab strip. Choose Claude or Codex, then This computer, Termiyo Cloud or My server. A paid Termiyo subscription is required at every location; free accounts and trials cannot use the pool. Sign in with each provider account separately.

  2. Copy the CLI setup

Select your terminal shell, then “Copy Claude Code setup” or “Copy Codex setup”. Paste it in a terminal in the project folder on the machine running that CLI. The setup applies to that terminal session. Each remote setup has its own access key; keep it private and revoke it when it is no longer needed.

  3. Keep the coding process running

This computer needs Termiyo open, unlocked and awake. Termiyo Cloud or My server keeps the pool independent of the laptop, but a sleeping laptop stops its local CLI. For persistent coding, run the CLI inside tmux on an always-on remote host. For My server, enter its HTTPS origin and management key.

Good to know

  • Termiyo Cloud needs the hosted service to be available. Check each linked account’s sign-in and usage status before relying on automatic switching; providers may not report every limit.
  • Automatic switching tries another available account from the same provider and keeps the model. Claude requests do not switch to Codex. Quotas are not combined or unlimited, and a response that has already started is not replayed.
  • The single-account Ask controls remain available for individual questions. The pool does not restore comparison lanes, manager jobs or the old /team prompt.
  • Switching the selected pool location leaves the remote server running. Disconnect explicitly revokes its authorization.

Get the right command for the server you are on without leaving its terminal, and nothing runs until you press Enter.

Open the prompt in the terminal, with one shortcut.

Ask in plain words. The answer arrives in place, and nothing is typed into the server.

Tab puts the command on your prompt. It runs only when you press Enter.
