Share servers with your team

Your team gets the servers, logins and jump hosts it needs in one copy, instead of a password pasted into a chat.

A Termiyo team vault is shared, end-to-end encrypted, with the people you add. Copy to team vault makes copies of the servers you choose there, with the logins and jump hosts they connect through, and leaves saved passwords and keys behind unless you tick the box that includes them. Use it to give your team servers without pasting a password into a chat. Team vaults are part of the Team plan.

A team vault is shared with the people you add, end-to-end encrypted. “Copy to team vault…” makes copies of the servers you choose there — with the logins and jump hosts they connect through — and says plainly what is left out and who will be able to read what goes in.

Recorded in Termiyo signed in to a test account on a test server running on the recording machine, with a team, a vault and servers made for the recording.

Steps

  1. Choose the servers to share

On the Servers page press “Select”, tick the servers and press “Copy to team vault…” (or use it from a server’s ⋯ menu).

  2. Read what will be copied

The dialog lists what is made in the vault — hosts, logins, the jump hosts they need — and what is “Left out of the copies”. Saved passwords and keys stay behind unless you tick “Also copy saved passwords and keys”.

  3. Copy them

Press Copy. Your own servers are not moved or changed; the team gets new records in its vault, end-to-end encrypted.

  4. Tell team and personal apart

Each copy carries its vault’s name on its card, and the Servers page can show one vault or all.

Good to know

  • Team vaults are part of the Team plan. A member added as Read only can connect with what the vault holds but cannot change it.

Your team gets the servers, logins and jump hosts it needs in one copy, instead of a password pasted into a chat.

Select the servers to share, and copy them to the team vault.

First you see what goes in and what stays out. Passwords and keys stay behind unless you tick them.

Copy them. Your own servers stay exactly as they are.

Each team server carries its vault’s name, so the two never mix.
